Life can be tough.  Okay, let’s be real…tough is quite an understatement.  Whether it is due to choices that we make or circumstances beyond our control, life has a way of so often leaving us broken.  Sometimes the brokenness is for just a short season, while other times it seems to linger with no end in sight, quickly draining our energy and hope.  The world wants us to believe that we are disqualified because of our brokenness.  We are damaged goods; just an item to be tossed in the garbage and replaced with something newer and better.  But what if our brokenness is exactly what Papa God desires in order for Him to use us for more?  What if being completely broken is the qualification needed in order for God to finally be able to mold us into what He had designed for us all along?

Psalms 51:17 says, “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”  The world looks at our shortcomings, mistakes, and failures and sees just another disappointment or wasted talent.  God looks at our brokenness and sees a heart that is moldable.  Where before nothing but a barren landscape existed, suddenly we are fertile ground that is finally ready to be plowed and planted.

My prayer is that you will join me as we walk through our own brokenness and discover the healing and hope that the Truth of God, which we will discover through His Word, has to offer if only we will approach His throne with repentance.  Friend, I pray that Papa God is close to you as you begin this journey with me as we offer up our brokenness to a God of restoration and redemption in exchange for a life full of blessings and beauty that only the creator of the universe could offer us.  God bless.
